Overview

Production of an emotional and informative documentary video for the local exhibition "Tota Pedra fa Paret: la pedra seca a Catalunya", brought to the town by the Associació Pedra Seca d’Amics de Montornès. The main goal was to design a compelling visual piece to support the opening and run of the event, celebrating the ancient, traditional technique of dry stone construction—an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO—while highlighting its deep-rooted presence in La Pobla de Montornès.

The Challenge

The project required translating a raw script with key ideas and a scattered selection of archival photographs into a fluid, professional, and engaging cinematic narrative. With no specific guidelines on image placement, the challenge lay in structuring the visual sequence from scratch, capturing the viewer's attention, and effectively conveying a double message: pride in local heritage and an urgent call to action regarding the preservation and concerning state of these ancient structures.

Our Approach

We took a human-centered and meticulous approach to the creative editing process:

     - Visual Storytelling: We carefully curated and sequenced the provided imagery, matching specific photographs with the core narrative points to build an emotional connection and reinforce the cultural value of the message.

     - Audio Synchronization & Rhythm: Collaborating within our team, we recorded the professional voiceover based on the client's script. We then meticulously synchronized the voice tracks with the visuals, ensuring a seamless flow, intentional pacing, and an engaging narrative arc.

     - Accessibility: To maximize engagement and ensure the project was inclusive for all visitors at the exhibition hall, we finalized the edit by designing clear, highly legible subtitles and fine-tuning the video parameters.

Results

The completed video was the centerpiece of the grand opening of the exhibition on September 4, 2025. It was successfully screened throughout the event (September 6–14, 2025) at the Casal d’Amics de Montornès in La Pobla de Montornès. The project raised awareness among the local population about the conservation of dry stone constructions, effectively promoted the exhibition, and offered an accessible and moving tribute to the town's historical heritage.
